We have a balance of the correct clothing, a warm up and correct technique.<br />We have covered the first two points above. Here is where we take a look at the actual training/practice element.<br />We practice Parkour to improve upon our ability in the foundations, which are&#8230; Your strength and your stamina. These are the 1st things we should develop before we can consider other aspects, like flexibility.<br />Strength in the Muscles and Stamina in the Muscles, is what we need to concentrate on first and foremost. From this grounding comes flexibility, durability, balance, agility etc.<br />Progression in parkour is paramount to these fundamentals and they should not be overlooked.</p>
<p>How to Train:</p>
<p>1.	Focus on creating comfortable landings with the correct technique. Have your buddy record you on his or her camera so you can watch after the session. This training aid alone will save you hours of failure.<br />2. Never train on empty. Ensure you are fully fed and watered and not too tired, otherwise accidents will happen. Some sports encourage you to perform in all mental &amp; physical states, however in Parkour it is different. However in parkour and freerunning we should keep our bodies fit an healthy and build a solid base over time.<br />3. Pick your terrain carefully. Softer surfaces in the early days will be better for you as you will make mistakes. The grass in parks is ideal for practice session, many objects are already layed out for us to navigate over or under, through or around. A sandy beach is great if you are practicing flips as the super soft sand will take the brunt of the impact from any mishap!<br />4.	Always perform a COOL-DOWN after your practice session that involves a stretch of the worked muscles.</p>
<p>If you follow these simple steps you will be well on your way to an injury free Parkour or Freerunning session each and everytime you practice. Please take what you can from this guide and implement into your own routine, I know you will see the benefits.</p>
