Free Poker Online Master Uncovers The Easiest List Of Poker Tells

Tuesday, December 6th, 2011

In face to face poker room games it is easier to read your opponents than is the case online. When you play online, you can’t see body language for example.

However It can be done and in this free online poker tells list article you will learn how to pick up tells in online poker room games.

Player Speed
Every player has a time limit in which to make their move before being auto declared either all-in or folded. As such speed of play can be a good tell.

A lot of the time if a player makes a fast bet it is a sign of weakness, slow speed though often indicates strength because the player is busy figuring how best to play their good hand.

So with speed, look for how fast or slow your opponents are, better still, if you can see what their cards were at the showdown you can try to figure why they took the time they did and once you know that it can help you next time round especially when they deviate from that pattern.

Don’t forget about your own speed of play too. Do you give away speed tells? A good strategy is to try and take the same amount of time for every action, or, if you are true genius, mix up speed regardless of your hand.

Check Boxes and Auto Plays
A lot of poker rooms online have check boxes to allow players to set automated fold, raise any or call any instructions.

If a players actions are always immediate then that is a sure sign they have these functions on. If a player has checked “raise any” it indicates a strong hand. If they are checking right away all the time then they are likely to be weak.

If it is “call any”, then the chance is good that it is a draw hand that is not completed but definitely not ready to fold.

These are not 100% certain Tells (there is no such thing) but over time you should be able to get a good success rate.

Opponents Fold and Flop Percentage
You can’t mark this percentage exactly but over the course of several games you should be able to get a sense of if a player folds a lot of trash hands or if they stay in most pots.

Lots of folding is the sign of a good and patient player whereas the one who stays in to the bitter end too much is a player you can smash when you have a good hand.

Chat Box
Generally, if a player chatty player suddenly goes quiet he may well have got good cards.

On the other hand if a player is betting and gets aggressive or very confident, this can often be a sign of bluffing in that they hope you’ll think they have it made and you’ll fold.

The Tilted player is a chat classic that you can take advantage of a lot, they’ve maybe had a hand that would normally win beaten and are really annoyed and emotional. Tilted players can’t play good poker until they calm down so it’s a great time for you to push them into making errors.

Not Waiting for the Big Blind
You will often have the option to wait for the big blind to get to you when you join a table, or you can choose to post a matching big blind so you can get into play right away.

The player who can’t wait to get started is an impatient player and impatience in poker is a very bad thing. Expect such a player to be a loose player.

However players who wait are either patient or cheap which are both good qualities for online poker as both tend to wait on better hands.

Novice Tells
Free online poker, micro and low stakes games will exhibit a lot of these.

Beginners often bet with weak hands and bluff weakness with strong hands. When you get pocket Aces do not slow play them. A lot of novices will slow play such pockets and find themselves getting beaten on the flop, turn or river by players who make straights and trips.

Many beginners wait 1 card after they pair up cards before betting which can be seen and used against them

For example, the player gets a King on the flop and checks. The Turn shows a 2 yet the player starts betting hard.

It’s really not likely that having a pair of 2s would induce this so it is very likely that he paired Kings on the flop. Bet it if you’ve got it.

Getting good at spotting tells and hiding your own takes practice so get on to some good free online poker games at NoPayPOKER.com or low stakes games at places like PartyPoker and get practising today.

Poker Free Online Simple Guide To Implied Odds And Pot Odds

Friday, November 25th, 2011

Is poker luck or skill? This is a debate that seems to have no end. For many new and poker free online players who don’t know what they’re doing it’s luck.

For players who play with logic and common sense it’s a skill game and one core part of that skill game is some simple math that allows the player to essentially create their own luck. We’re talking of course about pot odds, implied odds and rounding.

Pot Odds refer to the number of chips that sit on the center of the board due to bets, call, raises etc. The total of all those chips represents the size of the present pot.

For example – There are 400 chips in the pot and you are considering a call of a 100 chip bet. This means you have Pot Odds of 4 to 1, that is, the 400 chips in the pot divided by the 100 chips that you need to bet.

Implied Odds
Is the total of the chips held by your competitors plus the number of chips in the table center post versus what you need to use in order to play on. For example, you and 2 other players are left in a hand.

Player a has 2000 chips, Player b, 3000 chips. The pot has 1,000 chips. Should you need to call a 400 chip bet this means you have Implied Odds of 15 to 1. This comes from the 6,000 chips total between the 2 other players and 1000 in the pot vs the 400 chips you need to use.

Rounding – Making Life A lot easier
When you get your 2 pocket cards, 50 cards remain unseen so you will use 50 as the basis. You don’t need to worry that this changes to 47 unseen post flop, 46 post turn etc. We stick with 50, it is close enough and makes life a lot easier.

Example – You get King/Queen unsuited, and the flop shows Ten, Jack, Four rainbow (an unsuited flop). This means there 8 ‘outs’ (chances open) for you to get an open end straight draw; the 4 nines and 4 Aces that are unseen.

This means there’s an 8 in 50 probability of getting an ‘out’ on the turn; this equals 16 in 100, 16% or in other words a 1 in 6 chance of a card we want coming up.

In this example, if you’re not getting a minimum of 5 to 1 Pot Odds there is no sense chasing the 9’s and Aces. But 5 to 1 Pot Odds vs the 1 in 6 chance only makes you dead even long term.

When playing with Pot odds you need to look for advantage with every bet. If 5 to 1 is dead even, then 7 to 1 is a 40% advantage, 9 to 1 a 80% advantage. As a rule, if you have a good Pot Odds advantage play it, for me 45% is my comfort level but you may find yours to be more or less, only game time will tell you what your OK level is.

However, it’s not Pot Odds that are going to result in ultimate success. For big success and to beta up on both good and bad players requires timely application of Implied Odds which, at the right time, can be a lot more powerful than simple Pot Odds.

In the example used above, Pot Odds may dictated we fold. But, we might be playing against a ‘raise with any pocket ace donk who may have a stack many times larger than the pot. With our open end draw, any 9 or Ace on the turn or river will allow us to eliminate this player.

Wise players will figure both Pot and Implied Odds in their hands while being sure not to take excessive risks. If the Pot Odds are ‘respectable’ meaning within 25% of ideal and Implied are good then go for it but be sure to practice on free poker games first! I hope this guide to pot odds was useful, see NoPayPOKER.com for more poker free online training lessons.

Pool Table and Why I Bought It

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

The Poker Cup Holder on my poker table are my favorite part of the table. So, when they began to wear out, I decided to build a new Texas Holdem. I was motivated to do this, not only because I wanted a new poker table, but also because my kids are getting old enough where they can not only learn something about how to build a poker table, but they can also help.

I found some excellent instructions on how to build Poker Cup Holder at Poker Accessories.

The difference between this being a hard-job and this being an easy job always comes down to one thing: you need the correct tools. I have put a substantial amount of money into my tool collection; even then, I sometimes don’t even have the right tool .

For a quick overview, please check out this video.

Poker Cup Holder: How to Build a Poker Table

I have never built a Poker Cup Holder or Texas Holdem without using the following tools, so I’m pretty sure you will need them .

The most basic piece of equipment is a Jig Saw . The first time I build a Texas Holdem, I was surprised how much time I spent cutting . If you are using a cordless jig saw, make sure it is well-charged and you have a back up battery. Make sure you have lots of batteries ready and charged just in case you need them; nothing slows down a project faster than running out of power. I generally make the long straight cuts with a circular saw but a circular saw isn’t required.

You will need a power drill . You’re going to use your drill when you make the first cut to make the rail. Do yourself a favor and also purchase a screwdriver attachment for the drill: it will make this process much easier .

Anytime you work with wood, you will have rough edges that need to be sanded; so, you will need a sanding block, sand paper, and file .

I’m always surprised how many people don’t have this right near them when they start a home improvement project, but you will need a tape measure . You will measure a lot of things when you first get started . You may also want a chalk line but it certainly isn’t required. A pencil and any long straight edge will work just as well.

When I first used a staple gun when I was ten and I think that I have more and more fun using it.

When you upholster your poker table you will use a ton of staples . I think I ran through at a least a thousand staples . When you buy staples make sure to buy enough. They’re not going to go bad so you might as well buy several hundred since they’re cheap. . Its better to buy too many staples than to have to go back to the store half way through the project.

That’s all you need. Now that you’ve gathered all the tools that you need to build your Poker Cup Holder and its time to buy the supplies.

I don’t like shopping that much, but I do enjoy doing this: shopping for poker supplies and accessories.

The next article will focus on what you need to build a Poker Cup Holder.

Online Poker All-In Or Fold Bounty Tournaments Create Fine Poker Skills

Tuesday, November 15th, 2011

Yes there’s an online tournament that is all-in or fold and still a bounty tournament. It is an extremely unusual tournament but an intriguing one indeed. For those who have no idea what an all-in or fold tournament is a tournament where each round preflop you have to go all-in or fold your hand, It is different from the all-in type tournament which requires a player go all in each and every time which requires little or no strategy at all, but just luck. A bounty tournament is when you get a bonus for knocking out a player. In this sort of tournament the prize pool is less because half goes to the bounties. This tournament has a lot of elements and new strategies.

One thing for sure this sort of tournament will cure you of the nasty habit of limping into pots. It’s impossible to limp in during an all-in or fold tournament. It’s a good lesson to learn. Limping in most cases is a bad habit and a bad poker play. Also, you better play with a great hand. Players are either going all-in with top hands or folding bad ones. This teaches you the discipline of playing top hands before the flop. A superb skill to possess in your poker game.

It’s important to play top starting hands in late position. If you consider the strategy of these kinds of tournaments, players are playing the top hands in early and middle position. They are fully aware a small hand in these positions are going to get beat by a good late hand. So keep in mind that in late position with no one all-in in front of you, a hand slightly lower than the top hand can be played here to steal blinds.

Stack size is extremely important in these tournaments. Keep in mind the starting stack size is the same for all at the outset of the tournament. So really hand strength is the only variable at the start. Later in the tournament the stack sizes are far different and are starting to be a weapon to be reckoned with. A couple of things are going on here. First, the larger stacks can play more aggressively because if they gamble a bit an lose to a smaller stack they’re not out of the tournament. This play puts pressure on short stacks and if the play borderline hand they are gone.

Now let’s talk about the cash and prizes. The best thing about this is you are able to knock players out and get their bounty. If you play top hands you can quickly get your entry fees back and then you are playing for free. Remember all players have a bounty and every one but the winner loses theirs. So the bounties can get you profitable quickly. For the tournament prize money is usually half as a result of bounties, but enough there to play for. Follow these strategies we stated previously and you will be getting plenty bounties and finish at the final table.

In this post we found an unusual tournament that is very fun to play, with some very strict strategies, and it teaches the players some very good discipline and tools for your poker game. We have played these tournaments at Carbon Poker and Pokerhost Poker both US poker sites. They seem to be hard to find, but are well worth it when you do.

An Overview of Gambling Supplies & Mizerak Donovon Billiard Table

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

Full-Tilt’s recent troubles have only reinforced my desire to have more games at my place and buy more Casino Supplies. I love the idea of having a bunch of poker nuts coming to my house in order to lose their money to me; but, I need Casino Supplies.

This video shows a presentation of what I bought. I also found a lot of good information at Mizerak Donovon Billiard Table.

Gambling and Casino Supplies

I love to do product research, particularly for things I’m interested in and Casino Supplies is pretty much what I’m interested in . I look at everything like an investment: when I pay my money for something–a stock, a bond, an annuity, and even a sport’s team–I want to make sure that I get my money back . Since we moved, I now have a game room and I want to turn it into a room my past-self, say, when I was fifteen, would be proud of: and I knew what I needed: Casino Supplies. So, I started with what I would need to have a good card game. The first thing I would need is a place away from the rest of the household. That was easy. I have never had any space to call my own; I usually thought of decorating as a waste of time, but now, since I have a place of my own, I wanted it to be a reflection of me.

First things are first: I needed a Casino Supplies and Bello Professional Roulette Wheel . I did a lot of research and decided on some products . No game is complete without having the perfectly balanced poker chip: it makes any novice at any type of game feel like he or she is awesome when they finger a well-balanced chip. I would also need a billiard table since I love playing pool—plus, pool is a great way to make some easy bets: my favorite is when I bet if someone can make a shot for a dollar. I do this all the time and it works.

As time presses on, my hands just can’t deal like they once did . Twisted with age in the best circumstances, destroyed by time in the worse, we really can’t shuffle cards that easily anymore. Arthritic hand slow down play so much and all I want is to speed u play. I want to play as many hands as possible, so I want to speed up the number of hands my suckers–I mean, friends–can play. And, since we are all older-guys who only have a few hours of fun, we want to speed up the number of hands as much as possible. Besides, having a bunch of hand increases the likelihood I won’t have to hear about anybody’s children or grandchildren. So, I looked into having an automatic card shuffler.

I bought my stuff from here: poker supplies.

The products I referenced above so far have worked out. They are the best-selling in their industry and they are all from the best manufactors in the industry.

Easy Guide Free Online Poker Training To The Truth Behind The Most Important Poker Skill And The Easy Way To Enhance Yours

Tuesday, October 11th, 2011

This NoPayPOKER free poker training lesson looks again at what we think is the number one poker skill that the largest amount of poker players do not have or even realize the importance of. It is a skill that is without a doubt the most important single skill in poker namely Patience.

With the rise of online poker many people who would have otherwise never played poker have got involved on the basis of the get rich quick teases made in the mass media.

The majority of this new breed of poker player have little in the way of poker skills and most, if asked, will say that poker is mostly down to luck. That is a pity as what most of them don’t know is that if they took a bit of time to learn some basic skills and added in a dose of common sense then they could win, at the least, lower stakes online poker cash games consistently.

The fact that 90% of players do not take the time to learn means that the 10% who do are truly the wolves amongst the sheep. After all, to say that poker is mainly luck is clearly ridiculous, if it were so then how is it that we have so many well know and consistent poker professionals, many of whom make a good living from poker players with some of the best being multi-millionaires by virtue of poker game winnings? Exactly, in a game of luck that would be impossible, therefore poker is a game of skill or rather many skills.

The number of poker skills there are would require a long article just to list but it is possible to say that the first among equals is the ability to be patient. If you can’t be patient when you play poker then it doesn’t matter that you are a psychology and math PHD who can calculate all the odds in an instant and read people like a book because if you can’t wait for the right cards at the right time, you’re doomed.

So lets go into some poker education by illustration of the use and application of patience.

Use of patience in poker tournament play.
In tournaments, especially at the start you need to defend against reckless players who throw their chips with no care at all, in the hope of landing a lucky break. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking they know what they’re doing. They do not!

Instead you must hold out for some premium cards. Fold some, lose a few chips in order that you win a whole pile of chips from them later when you hand comes in and at the same time knock them out.

All you have to do is sit and wait for the dealer to push a couple of good cards to you. Just relax until then. I know that it’s hard to sit by and you feel you should be involved but trust me, winning money is lots more fun that losing and at the end of the day poker is all about money rather than playing a game and in any case winning money is pretty good fun!

Patience Developing Exercise (PDE)
Here is a simple exercise, and it produces the desired results though it is boring and time consuming (though less so that losing!)

Get into a free poker online freeroll. One with lots of players is best.

1) For the whole game you are only allowed to take part in a hand if you have pocket Aces or Kings.

2) Strictly no other pockets can be played.

3) And even if you have pocket Aces or Kings you cannot start a bet or put forth a raise.

4) If you do have AA or KK though you can call a bet.

5) But again, you can’t raise or start any betting.

6) Plus, if you are Big Blind and you don’t have AA or KK you must fold even if there has been no raise made against your Big Blind.

This exercise has helped many players significantly improve their skill set, give it a go!

When you use this in a game you will only be playing about 1% of the hands. AA and KK are each dealt to you approximately once in every 212 pockets. Yes that is boring I know! .

And I admit that this poker training article is a little boring as well but I would day, not as boring as being broke and, when you consider that this boring and rather invisible skill makes up over 50% of what it takes to win at poker I think you’ll agree the boredom of learning was worth it!

So if being patient is something you struggle with get into a poker free online games freeroll today and try the PDE process.

How To Get An Internet Poker Bonus

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Online poker is a phenomenon which has swept throughout the world recently, appealing to a large number of new gamers on a daily basis. New members are generally offered a poker bonus as a motivation to sign up with one of the many rival internet poker sites. This provides a great opportunity for new members to master internet poker without much financial risk.

In spite of the benefits, many novices may be deterred from internet poker basically because they might find it complicated. In addition to mastering the basic poker rules, online players also need to manage the whole language of poker terms. For some people, this can be overwhelming which is regrettable as they may well lose out on an exceedingly fulfilling pastime.

When you’re not familiar with poker language, you may also find it hard to find out what you have to do to be able to acquire the poker bonus deals.

To help novices to get going participating in internet poker, I want to give an explanation of precisely how the majority of poker bonus promotions work, and then identify the steps required for brand new players to be eligible for a a poker bonus.

If a brand new gamer opens a membership with an internet poker room, the bonus offer is not always awarded immediately. Mainly, poker bonuses are likely to be awarded gradually in exchange for customer loyalty.

You can imagine this as the poker room paying you money to learn poker, which means that not surprisingly you obtain more money the harder you play the game.

When players bet in a poker game, they will put chips or cash on the middle of the table, and that money is received by the participant who has the best cards. The actual term for this particular money is the pot. If you participate in a poker site, they’ll routinely award you with reward points based upon the amount of money you contribute to the pot in each hand you participate in. Such reward points are actually granted regardless of whether a player wins the particular hand.

Basically, the poker room would like to see players enjoying the game and coming up with an input to the game play for the benefit of the poker room itself and also the other players. Thus, the poker bonus codes are designed to persuade players to play as much as possible.

The majority of poker bonus promotions tend to be discharged in sections. Whenever a certain volume of reward points have been acquired, a portion of the bonus is paid. When the quantity of points rises to the next level, even more of the bonus is paid, etc. This process carries on as the player generates additional points and then reaches additional thresholds, until the full available poker bonus amount is actually received.

Frequently, brand new players will still go on to earn reward points even after the bonus has actually been granted. Depending on the poker room involved, these could possibly be redeemed for real money gifts, clothing as well as other incentive promotions.

To get yourself a poker bonus, when you are registering for your new account frequently you will be asked for a poker bonus code. You can find updated codes using a poker bonus site. So it is advisable to actually check with a poker bonus site prior to joining on the particular poker room.
