The easiest kinds of bet to win at roulette are called outside bets, they are one of two different types of bets. They win more often but less money is awarded per victory. There are several different outside bets many of which give nearly a 50% chance of winning. It is this high chance of winning that gives outside bets the reputation of being the safer and less risky bets. If you like small incremental gains than making outside bets may be the best course of action. Here are the outside bets, for the next time you play online roulette.
The different kinds of outside bets are the following: red, black, even, odd, high, low, first dozen, second dozen, third dozen, and column bets. It is possible to bet on the color red or the color black, if you bet on the color black you are betting that the ball ends up on the color black, the same is true for red, there is almost a 50/50 chance of winning this bet. Betting even or odd is to bet money that the ball will land on an even number or an odd number and offers a 1:1 payout and has an almost 50% chance of winning.
The top half of the roulette wheel has the numbers 19-36 and the bottom half 1-18, you can bet that the ball will land on either the high numbers or the low numbers, for example if you bet low and the ball lands on the number 11 you win 1:1. First Dozen, Second Dozen, and Third Dozen are bets on numbers 1-12, or 13-24, or 25-36, this bet offers double the return. There is another bet that allows you to bet on a dozen numbers however not a consecutive dozen, they are called column bets. A column is defined by the chart of numbers on the roulette table, the table has three columns that display each number. Another bet that can double your money is called the column bet, you bet on one of three columns and if the ball lands on any of those numbers you win.
