We Need to Focus on Expanded Municipal Water Treatment Plants Instead of Relying on the Bottled Water Industry
† Tuesday, January 31st, 2012The World Health Organization has issued statements in the past proclaiming that there are approximately one billion people in the world that suffer from lack of fresh drinking water on a daily basis. Since the human body requires large quantities of water, these unfortunate souls have no choice but to drink water that is filled with contaminants such as human and animal wastes, industrial pollution, and toxic bacteria. All of us should try to do whatever we can to ensure that everyone in the world has all of their basic needs like fresh water met. All we have to do is get together to building municipal water filtration facilities in these areas so that they can have all the fresh water they need. This unfortunate situation is allowed to occur because nowadays, most remaining sources of fresh water are being privatized.
We can rest most of the blame for the privatization of fresh water sources on the bottled water industry. Many of these companies simply let others clean contaminated water, then they put the clean water into bottles and mark up the prices considerably. Whenever we buy this bottled water, we’re only making things worse. Choosing a reusable water bottle and filling it from your tap is a much better alternative, it’s a whole lot cheaper, and you won’t be generating so much plastic waste. The more people who use municipal water sources, the more water filtration plants that are built, and everyone then becomes able to access the clean drinking water they need in their everyday lives.
Many of us have been tricked into thinking that the water we drink out of bottles is fresher and safer than what comes out of the tap. This has lead most of us to purchase bottled water whenever we can. People are slowly waking up to the fact that bottled water isn’t always the better choice, especially since the bottles are usually filled with the same water they already have access to. People are starting to fight back against the huge companies like Pepsi that are trying to trick them into buying their so-called special water.
There is no need to battle the huge companies via lawsuits, you simply need to stop buying their bottled water and invest in a water filtration and reusable plastic bottle yourself. Doc No. 34Sdlhgsdl -sds
