With the climate change conference scheduled to run in just a few weeks, I thought I would write about my ideas on the arguments about to take place. Even though some activists don’t agree, it is acknowledged that developing countries will generate higher emissions to start off with, but countries like Brazil are very unwilling to make sacrifices when there is an economic issue.

Another sensitive problem inside the anti climate change movement is pertaining to the emission trade. Having market rules that offset any negative economic impact of restrictions is also controversial according to opponents, who see this as an opportunity for the black market trade. To avoid this type of trade and the risk of climatic disaster, the opponents want to see larger control given to local communities.
